When processing new documents, SimpleDMS automatically suggests suitable document types, tags, and date values.

This significantly speeds up inbox processing.

When creating a new space, built-in document types are available as templates. They can be used immediately and adjusted later.

Fields can also be used independently of document types.

The tagging system supports:

• simple tags,
• super tags, and
• tag groups.

The inbox allows temporary storage of uploaded files and subsequent batch processing. Each workspace has its own inbox.

If a document cannot be found via the metadata, a full-text search is also available.

The document content is extracted directly or recognized via OCR. Combining full-text search with metadata search is possible.

Filtering of documents via document types, fields and tags.

Documents can be versioned. New versions can be uploaded directly from the «Versions» tab or selected from the inbox.

This keeps document history traceable while older states remain available.

Deleted documents are moved to the trash bin and can be restored.

File upload is possible directly in the web application into the desired target folder or into the inbox.

If SimpleDMS is installed as an app, the native functions of the respective platform can be used. For example, via «Share with» on smartphones and tablets, and «Open with» on computers.

If access to the camera and microphone is granted, direct creation and uploading of photos, audio recordings or screencasts is possible.

Extracting uploaded zip archives is possible directly in SimpleDMS.

SimpleDMS is a web application that can be installed as app on smartphones, tablets and computers.

The latter enables the use of native functions of the respective platform, for example the use of the «Share with» function on smartphones and tablets, or «Open with» on computers, for example directly from the email program or file browser.

Dark Mode is fully supported with automatic detection of the system settings.

Passkeys are fully supported and can be used for secure, passwordless sign-in.
